Dezigner Jeanz Tops Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale Day 1 at $360,000
Stakes winner and Dezigner Jeanz (Hip #327) sold for $360,000 Thursday to Rancho La Cobra to lead the first session of the 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale in Oklahoma City.

Dezigner Jeanz Tops Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale Day 1 at $360,000

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–JANUARY 15, 2026—Stakes winner and multiple graded stakes placed Dezigner Jeanz (Hip #327) brought $360,000 to top the market late Thursday afternoon during the first day of the 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale.

The five-year-old daughter of Mr Jess Perry, sold in training, won the Remington Park Juvenile Stakes and placed second in the Evangeline Downs Futurity-G2 at two. She also placed third in the Decketta Stakes in 2025. Offered by Granada Farms, Agent for Pete Scarmardo, Dezigner Jeanz earned $186,364 on the track.

Bred in Oklahoma by Bobby D. Cox, the sorrel mare was purchased by Rancho La Cobra. She is out of Grade 1 Kindergarten Futurity placed daughter of Corona Cartel, All N The Jeans ($120,036), who is a full sister to multiple Grade 1 winner Chazaq ($963,664) and a half-sister to Grade 1 Rainbow Futurity winner Zoomin With Ease ($388,299). Her second dam is Blue Hen Mare All About Ease ($309,503).

Backed by a catalog full of black type, Dezigner Jeanz was a strong example of the quality available as the three-day sale got underway.

“The 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale kicked off today with 84% of the horses offered marked sold and the average sale price was $19,903. The high seller today was Dezigner Jeanz for $360,000 and we want to congratulate all of the connections, buyers and sellers, on this nice filly,” said Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney.

Heritage Place reported 229 of 274 horses sold during Session 1 for gross receipts of $4,557,900, with a median price of $11,500.

The second high seller was Ladys Choice (Hip #155), a mare by Hes Relentless, consigned by Jordan Wiggins, Agent, and also purchased by Rancho La Cobra for $102,000. The six-year-old mare earned more than $85,000 on the track.

She is out of stakes-placed daughter of FDD Dynasty Summer Dynasty ($38,427), a full sister to stakes winners Midday News ($383,270), Fox News ($190,689), and Sunset Run ($95,285). Ladys Choice is from the family of Champion Tiny First Effort ($445,393).

Miguel Martinez purchased Hip #169, Big Allstar, for $95,000 as the day’s third high seller. The son of Big Daddy Cartel out of Woodys Allstar, by Woodbridge was consigned by Solo Select. The Accredited New Mexico-bred gelding earned $149,067 on the track and placed second in the New Mexico Classic Futurity-RG2.

Kidney also noted, “Two short yearlings made the Top 10 list and the demand for quality racehorses seemed strong in front of a very large crowd that attended the first day.”

Hip #252, a short yearling filly by Mr Jess Perry out of Thewayouwantmetoo, sold for $85,000. Hip #132, El Enchilado, a short yearling son of Apollitical Jess out of Truly Favorite, brought $82,000.

Rancho La Cobra was the leading buyer on Day 1, purchasing seven head for $664,000, while Tabasco Racing, LLC purchased nine for $189,500 and Carmen Villalobos bought three for $145,000.

Dunn Ranch, Agent, was the leading consigner of Session 1, selling 34 head for $489,400, followed by Granada Farms, Agent for Pete Scarmardo, with two for $420,000, and Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent, with 22 for $309,000.

The leading short yearling sires by average (two or more sold) were Apollitical Jess, with two averaging $57,000, followed by Kiss My Hocks and Apollitical Blood, both with three averaging $38,333 and $256,333, respectively.

Leading first-year sire Dulce Sin Tacha was the top covering sire, averaging $49,667 from three in-foal mares sold, while FDD Dynasty averaged $43,000, also from three in-foal mares sold.

“We could not be more thankful for the beautiful weather this sale weekend and the catalog is still stacked with quality for the remainder of the sale,” Kidney said. “We look forward to seeing everyone in Oklahoma City for the next two sessions and wish them much success with their purchases.”

Session Two will begin Friday, January 16, starting at 10 a.m., with additional Sam Thompson Foundation benefit breedings—One Famous Eagle, Cyber Attack, Jess Good Candy, KJ Mucho Macho Man, and Flying Cowboy 123—followed by Session Two, Hips 355 through 708.

Following the session, Heritage Place will host an OQHRA Reception in the Restaurant and Club, featuring live entertainment by the Way Out West Band and sponsored by the Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau and OQHRA.
