OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–JANUARY 17, 2026–The 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale wrapped up Saturday, January 17, with five of the sale’s top 10 high sellers coming from the third session. The day’s top three sellers were all aged geldings.

Consigned by Dunn Ranch, the overall leading consigner across all three days, Hip No. 919, Holy Guacamolee, topped the third session when purchased for $300,000 by Mike Grisham.

Holy Guacamolee won the Texas Classic Futurity (G1) and the TQHA Sale Juvenile, earning $437,853. He was the top money-earning son of the leading second-year sire in 2025, Chilitos.

Holy Guacamolee is out of So Into You, a daughter of Oak Tree Special, and is backed by one of the industry’s most proven black type-producing female families. His dam is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Send Me A Candy Tree ($410,384).

His second dam is blue hen mare Send Me The Candy ($135,976), the dam of eight black type horses and the grandam of champions Jess Good Candy ($2,014,703) and Chasing AJ ($907,069).

The second-highest seller of the day was Hip #955, Painted Eclispe, consigned by Mike Logan, Agent, and purchased for $200,000 by Jose R. Espinosa. The four-year-old gelding is a son of Pyc Paint Your Wagon and out of Safari Moonlight, a One Famous Eagle mare who earned $57,255 on the track. Painted Eclispe hails from the family of champions Sig Hanson ($433,193) and Sign Of Lanty ($545,542).

Hip #1016, Train B Taka, consigned by Royal Dream Ranch, ranked third among day three high sellers at $190,000. The four-year-old gelding is a son of world champion sire Freightrrain B and out of Apolliltitaka, by Apollitical Jess.

Train B Taka is a half-brother to last year’s co-winner of the Heritage Place Futurity (G1), Apollirevenge. His dam is a stakes-winning full sister to Grade 2 winner Apollitical OK ($274,408) and a half-sister to Takiana Romanova B ($192,687) and Mr Taka B ($180,145).

Hip #947, Apollitical Suze, was fourth on the high-sellers list at $155,000. Consigned by Flag Ranch, LLC, the mare has earned $28,056 on the track and is in foal to Dulce Sin Tacha for 2026. The daughter of leading sire Apollitical Jess was purchased by Cody Joiner.

Grade 2 West Texas Futurity winner Apollitical Suze is a half-sister to Suze Returns ($403,193), who is the dam of 2025 All American Derby-G1 finalist Holy Pete ($173,207).

Rounding out the top five was Hip #918, Copy of Jess, purchased by Renee Wilson for $125,000. Consigned by Denis and Julie Schoenhofer, the four-year-old filly by Jesse James Jr is out of Fast Copy Miss ($78,450), by Heza Fast Man.

The accredited New Mexico-bred is in training and has earned $124,787 on the track. She finished third in the Champagne Lane Stakes and was a finalist in the New Mexico Classic F&M Championship (RG1) and the Balloon City Stakes (G2).

“The 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale concluded with 85% of the horses offered sold and an average sales price of $21,106 before a large crowd in Oklahoma City this weekend,” said General Manager Spence Kidney.

Heritage Place Sale Company reported that 704 of 824 head offered sold for gross receipts of over $14.8 million across the three days and a median of $12,000.

Only three consignors surpassed the six-figure mark in totals. Dunn Ranch, Agent, led all consignors over the three-day sale with 104 sold for $1,945,900. Marty Powers, Agent, was second with 40 sold for $1,170,500, followed by Lazy E Ranch, LLC, Agent, with 65 sold for $1,121,700.

Among “short yearling” sires through three days (by average, two or more sold), Apollitical Jess led with seven head averaging $58,429. Mr Jess Perry followed with two sold averaging $50,750, while Hes Relentless sired three averaging $42,667.

Among covering sires through two sessions (by average, two or more sold), Flying Cowboy 123 led with two in-foal mares averaging $115,000. Dulce Sin Tacha sold 10 in-foal mares averaging $55,700, and Kiss My Hocks sold three averaging $46,333.

“Heritage Place wants to thank all our consignors and wish the buyers best of luck with their purchases,” Kidney said.

He added that the next sale will be the Spring Forward online-only sale March 6–8, with a February 18, 2026 consignment deadline. “This is a great opportunity for horses of all ages. Consignment forms are online, or feel free to give us a call to discuss consignments for this sale,” Kidney said.
