The catalog for the 2026 Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Quarter Horse & Thoroughbred Yearling Sale is now available online.

RUIDOSO, NM—JUNE 17, 2026—The catalog for the 2026 Ruidoso New Mexico Bred Quarter Horse & Thoroughbred Yearling Sale is now available online.

The sale is scheduled for August 15 at the Ruidoso Downs Sales Pavilion and will feature 300 New Mexico-bred yearlings, including 220 Quarter Horses and 80 Thoroughbreds.

"We are very happy with the set of New Mexico-bred yearlings consigned with us this year," said All American Ruidoso Horse Sales General Manager Walt Wiggins Jr. "In terms of numbers, this is the largest New Mexico-bred sale since before COVID. Two hundred twenty Quarter Horse yearlings will be offered and 80 Thoroughbred yearlings."

The sale schedule is organized as follows:

• Friday, August 14 — Pre-Sale Party, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., hosted by the New Mexico Horse Breeders Association in the Big Barn

• Saturday, August 15 — New Mexico Bred Thoroughbred Yearlings, Hips 1–80

• Saturday, August 15 — New Mexico Bred Quarter Horse Yearlings, Hips 81–300

The Ruidoso New Mexico-Bred Yearling Sale will be held at the Ruidoso Downs Sales Pavilion, located immediately east of Ruidoso Downs Racetrack.
