Corona Relentless Defends Title, Wins Third Consecutive Rocky Heinzig Stakes at Fair Meadows Saturda
Corona Relentless, under jockey Roman Cruz, won the $17,500 Rocky Heinzig Stakes at Fair Meadows on Saturday night. It was the thrid consecutive year the mare has won the Rocky Heinzig.

Corona Relentless Defends Title, Wins Third Consecutive Rocky Heinzig Stakes at Fair Meadows Saturda

TULSA, OK–JULY 20, 2024–Sandwiched at the break, Corona Relentless put in a solid effort to win her third consecutive $17,500 Rocky Heinzig Stakes at Fair Meadows on Saturday night.

Jockey Roman Cruz rode the 6-year-old mare to her 12 career win in 33 starts. The multiple-stakes winner was also victorious in the 2022 and 2023 Rocky Heinzig at the Tulsa racetrack.

She completed the 350 yards in 17.666 seconds tonight, equaling a 97-speed index into a 6 mph crosswind.

Marla Vargas trains the daughter of leading sire Hes Relentless for owner Roberto Zuniga-Rios. Corona Relentless, bred in Louisiana by Eddie Cramer, Tom and Bill Maher, is out of the Corona Cartel mare Corona Concierge. She has earned $175,332.

Recent Golden Driller Stakes winner Burning Follies finished second owner-breeder Double A Ranch, Inc. Trainer Raymond Gonzalez named jockey Salvador Martinez to ride the 5-year-old son of Dash To Follies from the Walk Thru Fire mare Burn The Kash. He earned $2,946 for the effort, bringing his lifetime total to over $100,000.

Janet Martinez' Dashin Lewee finished a neck back to earn $1,620 for third. Trainer Diego Luis Meza named Cordarelton Benn to ride Big Lew, a 3-year-old from the Streak And Dash mare The Dashing Attitude. Alona James bred the earner of more than $80,000 in Oklahoma.
