Tempting Alibi, under Luis Vivanco, won the $57,875 TQHQ 250 Stakes Stakes at Retama Park on Friday.

SELMA, TX–JULY 26, 2024—Cruz Nava's Tempting Alibi raced to his second career stakes win on Friday in the $57,875 TQHA 250 Stakes at Retama Park.

Under jockey Luis Vivanco, the son of champion Tempting Dash, completed the 250 yards in 13.382 seconds, equaling a 93 speed index.

Trainer Jose Sanchez saddled his second winner on Friday's card.

Tempting Alibi is a 3-year-old son of champion Tempting Dash from the Shazoom mare Tinalicious. Bred by Michael Amburn, Tempting Alibi used the $34,725 winner's purse to increase his earnings to $95,466. He has won four of 10 career starts.

JJ Sandoval Racing Stables' Revolutionaerie earned $11,575 for finishing second. Trainer Juan Diaz, Jr. named jockey Nestor Duran to ride the One Famous Eagle gelding out of Bodacious Dream by Corona Cartel. Bobby D. Cox bred the stakes-placed earner of $55,416.

You Look Famous finished a neck back for owner Dash Master Jess Partnership. Daniel Garcia named jockey Noe Villatoro to ride the One Famous Eagle mare out of the stakes winner Mi Angelia by Jet Black Patriot. A stakes winner bred by Cesar Rosales, You Look Famous has earned over $95,000.

Blackjess, Zsuzannah, Fabulous Royale, Gulf Coast Flyer, Kvp Especial, and Five Bar Willie completed the field.
