Diamond Dusting Sets Top Mark In Wyoming Bred Maturity Trials

ROCK SPRINGS, WY–SEPTEMBER 13, 2024–Stakes winner Diamond Dusting got his eighth career win today while setting the fastest qualifying time from three trials contested at Sweetwater Downs for the Wyoming Bred Maturity.

The ten fastest qualifiers will return to the Rock Springs racetrack on Saturday, September 28, to vie for the winner's share of a $20,000-added purse at a distance of 400 yards.

Diamond Dusting flew from the gate under jockey Jesus Virgen to defeat Makin Turtlemoves by a nose. A son of the FDD Dynasty stallion Dustin Pro, Diamond Dustin completed the 400-yard task in 20.095 seconds, equaling a 92-speed index.

Rick Hillstead is the owner, breeder, and trainer of the Rocks Springs Wyoming Bred Maturity winner out of Pritzis Diamond Lil by Desirio. Diamond Dusting has won eight of 30 career starts and banked nearly $70,000.
