GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–SEPTEMBER 13, 2024–Belles Stakes winner Woopaa has been climbing the ladder this year and stepped into Grade 2 action on Friday night when she posted the fastest qualifying time for the Dash For Cash Derby at Lone Star Park.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Grand Prairie, Texas racecourse on Saturday, October 5, to vie for the winner's share of a $177,300 purse to be contested at the classic Quarter Horse distance of 440 yards.

After finishing a troubled tenth in her 3-year-old debut, an Allowance at Remington Park on March 14, Woopaa finished second for a $ 10,000 tag on April 4.  She returned on April 20 to break her maiden by 1-1/2 lengths, again for $10,000 at Remington Park on April 20.

Her connections then moved their tack to Fair Meadows, where she won a $16,500 Allowance by 1-1/2 lengths on June 8. She stepped into stakes company on July 6 to win the $17,500 Belle Stakes for fillies and mares at Fair Meadows on July 6.
