ROCK VIEW COUNTY, ALB–OCTOBER 20, 2024–Stakes-winning powerhouse Jessaprimadonna does it again and easily wins the $15,272 Aged Invitational Stakes at Century Downs on Sunday.
Daniel Tavares got the leg up aboard Jessaprimadonna for her fourth stakes victory this season. The One Sweet Jess filly led the field from gate to wire, finishing one and 3/4-lengths ahead of She Wears The Pantz and Corrine Andros.
Jessaprimadonna clocked an 81-speed index, running into a firm 30 mph headwind. The heavy favorite's 400-yeard victory paid $2.50 to win on 1-5 odds.
The six-year-old mare has won six stakes races in her career, including the Century Downs Cup Classic Maturity, CTM Princess Stakes (twice), and Old Timers Classic Stakes (twice). Today's $11,130 victory increased Jessaprimadonna's lifetime earnings to $128,563 and improved her race record to 13-5-3 from 33 starts.
Leroy Janacek, Jr. bred her in Louisiana out of the Favorite Cartel mare Favorite Primadonna, who is a half-sister to champions Miss Racy Jess and One Sweet Jess and out of the Blue Hen Mare Miss Racy Vike. Trainer Misael Moreno saddled Jessaprimadonna for owner Cindy Fehr.
Runner-up She Wears The Pantz was bred in California by Fred Scane out the Foose mare Skinny Jeans. The $5,500 Los Alamitos Equine Sale graduate has four career wins with $31,974 in the bank. Harold Wippert, Jr. trains the five-year-old daughter of Separate Interest of owner Calvin Crosschild.
Wave Burner, ridden by Daniel Garcia finished third a length behind She Wears The Pantz. The five-year-old gelding has two career wins with $68,556 in earnings, including the Grade 3 Canada Cup Futurity. Wesley bred and trains the son of Wave Carver for owner Jeffrey R W Rath. He is out of First Prize Sass by First Timber.
Krash On Okey, ridden by Jesus Ambricio Medina, placed fourth and Jamez Bond, with Jose Rocha in the irons, completed the order of finish in fifth.
