Chile Piquin Post Fastest Time From 84 Juveniles In 12 Retama Park Schooling Races Wednesday

SELMA, TX–MARCH 5, 2025–Chile Piquin, a $20,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate racing for owner Chile Piquin partners, posted the fastest time on Wednesday from 84 juveniles who participated in 12 schooling races at Retama Park.

All races were run at a distance of 250 yards.

Trainer Zackery N. Rios tapped jockey Oscar Andrade, Jr. to ride the daughter of second-crop sire Chilitos to victory in Race 3. Her 13.57-second clocking was the day's fastest.

Omar Paredes bred the double-registered filly in Texas. She is out of the Corona Cartel mare All American Cartel, a sister to stakes winner American Rules, and half-sister to champion American Runaway.

Notoryous, a $300,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, ran to his pedigree with a victory in Race 4 and the day's second fastest clocking of 13.68 seconds. Jockey Juan Pulido had the riding calling for trainer Cristian Alcala.

JSM Quarter Horses LLC owns the One Famous Eagle, half-brother to All American Derby(G1) winner Instygator and Heritage Place Futurity(G1) winner Shott Gun. Bobby D. Cox is the breeder.

Tornado Dynasty, a gelded son of four-time world champion sire FDD Dynasty, won Race 9 with the third-fastest clocking of 13.59 seconds. Trainer Victor G. Fierro tapped jockey Claudio Aguilar to ride the Texas home-bred for owner-breeder Eleazar Martinez.

Tornado Dynasty is out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Jesstafiable, from the family of champion Merganser and Los Alamitos Million Futurity(G1) winner Tres Passes.
