BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 28, 2025–Featured Prospect got her first career stakes win on Friday when she got a nose bob over Apolitical Train in the $30,000 Winners Circle Church Stakes at Louisiana Downs.
Yaidel Rodriguez rode the 7-year-old mare by multiple stakes sire Prospect To The Top for owner-breeder Mark Langford. The Louisiana-bred covered 250 yards in 13.363 seconds, equaling a 94-speed index into a 10 mph headwind.
Trainer Janessa Muniz saddled the bay mare to her sixth career win in 29 starts. Bred from the Separatist Baby mare Sheza Fast Feature, Featured Prospect picked up $18,000 today to move her earnings total to $106,185.

Runner-up Apolitical Train earned $6,000 for his second-place effort under jockey Ricardo Hernandez, Jr. Patrick Clemons trains the Freighttrain B gelding for owner Vicente Velasquez. Chad Hart and Bobby D. Cox bred the $41,817 earner from the Apollitical Jess mare Apollitical Regard.
Venus Tlc and jockey Leonardo Rodriguez finished half-a-length back to earn $3,300 for third. Francisco Campos, Sr., conditions the 4-year-old daughter of The Louisiana Cartel for owner Carlos Campos. Jorge Haddad and Jorge Haddad Mestre bred Venus Tlc from the First Moonflash mare Pamplonna. She has earned $70,387 in 18 starts.
The field was completed by Lonestar Runner, Tac It Blood, Kp Paintmeasymphony, and India de La Nieve.
