OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—APRIL 19, 2025—Longtime Oklahoma breeder Bill Price's Bp Hail Mary held off a late surge from Ding Dang Duce win the $75,000 Laico Bird Stakes by a head on Saturday night at Remington Park.

Jockey Jesus Ayala booted the filly to her second win in three starts for trainer Dee Keener. The daughter of leading sire Corona Cartel completed the 330 yards in 16.963 seconds, equaling an 84 speed index on the sloppy (sealed) track with a 9 mph tailwind.

Bred from the Tempting Dash mare Hf Stormi Daniels, Bp Hail Mary earned $42,525, bringing her earnings to $56,336.

Haley Hobbs owned and trained Ding Dang Dulce earned $14,175 for finishing second. Jockey Fernando Fonseca-Soto had the riding call aboard the son of leading first-crop sire Dulce Sin Tacha.  Neff Houge Farm LLC bred the $28,865 earner in Oklahoma from the Valiant Hero mare Valiant Strawfly.

Post time favorite Godz Speed finished a neck back under jockey Aram Martinez to earn $7,796. The son of world champion sire Freighttrain B started off. Maiden win on March 23 for trainer Raymond Gonzalez and owner Double A Ranch, Inc. Bobby D. Cox bred the gray colt from the champion Mr Jess Perry mare Matabari.

Dr Americas Dynasty, Apolitical Valor, Peves Candy P, Maxximum George, T Bar Fabulous Eagle, Tess Me Jessie, and Bv Shotgun Kelly completed the field.
