TULSA, OK–JULY 18, 2025–Shy Kisser delivered another stakes-winning performance on Friday evening at Fair Meadows, scoring a half-length victory in the $17,500 Belles Stakes, a 350-yard race for fillies and mares, three-year-olds and up.
With Mario Delgado in the irons, the six-year-old sorrel mare broke sharply from post two and dueled early before edging clear to stop the clock in 17.556 seconds. The 12 mph headwind added challenge, but she responded with a 99 speed index to secure her second stakes win of the season. Shy Kisser’s victory paid $7.80 to win on 5/2 odds.
Friday’s win added $10,392 to her bankroll, pushing her lifetime earnings to $248,256. This was her third career stakes victory, having previously won the Dee Raper Sooner State Stakes in April and the Miss Ellen Stakes last year.
