TULSA, OK—JULY 19, 2025—Corona Relentless delivered a wire-to-wire victory under jockey Roman Cruz to win the $17,500 Rocky Heinzig Stakes at Fair Meadows for the fourth consecutive year, holding off all challengers in the 350-yard dash for 3-year-olds and up.

The 7-year-old gray mare stopped the clock in 17.819 seconds over a fast track with a 17-mph headwind, earning a 92 speed index and the winner’s share of the purse—$8,838.

Bred in Louisiana by Eddie Cramer along with Tom or Bill Maher, Corona Relentless is a daughter of champion sire Hes Relentless out of the Corona Cartel mare Coronas Concierge.

Owned by Roberto Zuniga-Rios and trained by Marla Vargas, she was a $6,500 purchase from the 2019 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. Her tactical early speed and ability to maintain her advantage proved decisive against a quality field.

A multiple stakes winner, Corona Relentless has won 15 of 40 career starts and banked $224,380.

Finishing second, just a half-length back, was Richrollnwagon, a 5-year-old gelding by Prized Wagon out of Vw Lucky Advice by Best Advice. Bred in Oklahoma by Vickie Wyman, the bay gelding was ridden by Mario Delgado for owner-trainer Elferrelaureano Broom.

He earned $3,446 for his runner-up effort, boosting his career mark to $62,113.

Sammys Fishinchips closed out the trifecta, another neck back in third. The 6-year-old chestnut gelding by Fishin Chips out of Readaboutme Sambeach by Sambaso Dancer was bred and owned by Janie Reza, who also co-trains the horse with Leonardo Reza.

Jockey Cordarelton Benn had the call. Sammy stayed close early and briefly pressed for second before being outkicked in the final yards. He earned $1,895 to push his bankroll to $84,681.

Pari-mutuel payoffs returned $3.80 to win, $3.00 to place, and $2.20 to show on Corona Relentless. Richrollnwagon paid $5.60 and $4.00. Sammy's Fishinchips returned $6.60 to show.

The remaining order of finish was: Okie Power (4th), Burning Follies (5th), Im a Fancy Ace (6th), Rr Eagles Path (7th), and Eye Eye Dynasty (8th). Scratched were Rl Hondo and Skyline King.
