EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 2, 2025—Breaking sharply and never looking back, Just A Flyin Cowgirl sped to a wire-to-wire victory in Saturday’s $22,500 Raysha’s Run – Racing For A Cure Stakes at Wyoming Downs.

The 4-year-old daughter of leading third-crop sire Flying Cowboy 123 delivered a blistering performance over 350 yards, stopping the clock in 17.483 seconds on a fast track, and earning a 97 speed index under jockey Julian Zavala.

Trained by Joe Davis for owner McGehee Horse and Cattle LLC, the bay filly flew from the gates and held off a hard-charging group in the final strides to secure the win by three-quarters of a length.

Bred in Texas by T.C. Flack, Just a Flyin Cowgirl is out of the Furyofthewind mare Just Another Natural. The victory was worth $13,500 to her connections. Second in the Energy Downs Maturity in her last start, she has banked $82,232 with five wins in 12 starts.

Closing from the outside with a strong late surge was multiple stakes winner Jazzing Dynasty, a 4-year-old filly by multiple stakes sire Jr Dynasty Mountain out of Jazzing Jenna by Jazzing Hi.
Owned and trained by Wes Kellett and bred in Utah by Ross L. Herrick, Jazzing Dynasty finished a nose ahead of third, earning $4,500 for her runner-up effort under jockey Gerardo Vera. She has won seven of 18 starts and earned $78,479.

Finishing third was Cayenneoverthemoon, a 6-year-old mare by Brindis Por Cayenne out of Dashmetothemoon by Apollo (TB). Breaking cleanly from post ten, she stayed on strongly to finish just a nose behind second place.

The multiple sakes winning Wyoming-bred mare, trained by Jess Matt for owner Walter Larson, was ridden by Jacob Cardenas. Bred by S Bar S, she picked up $2,250 to boost her bankroll to $166,065.

The race was contested under clear skies at 77 degrees, with a crosswind blowing at 8 mph.

Pari-mutuel payoffs reflected the competitiveness of the field. Just a Flyin Cowgirl returned $7.20 to win, $4.80 to place, and $3.40 to show. Jazzing Dynasty paid $16.00 to place and $8.60 to show, while Cayenneoverthemoon returned $4.00 to show.

Finishing behind the top three were Jr Sakes Alive in fourth, Sage Runner fifth, Ms Flaming Finish sixth, Vvr Canella Velvet seventh, A Dash of Steffie eighth, Jkh Almost a Dynasty ninth, and Rockin Jo Kool tenth.
