ALBUQUERQUE, NM—AUGUST 6, 2025—A quartet of 440-yard trials held Wednesday at The Downs at Albuquerque has finalized the field for the $700,898 All American Oaks (G1) for 3-year-old fillies, set for Labor Day, September 1.

With a lucrative winner’s share of $294,377 and a last-place payout of $15,770, ten of the swiftest sophomore fillies earned their places in the prestigious final—led by Razor Sharp, who clocked the fastest time of the day.

Razor Sharp, a daughter of champion Tempting Dash out of Lady Bellaqua by Mr Jess Perry, proved game under pressure in the final heat of the afternoon.

Breaking sharply from post five under jockey Sergio Becerra Jr., the $67,000 Heritage Place Yearling purchase dug in to hold off a tenacious late bid by Karmas A Chick, stopping the timer in 20.997 for trainer Eric Valenzuela and owner Ronald L. Sugamosto.

Bred in Missouri by Nogal Orb LLC, Razor Sharp showed grit and class, earning a 103 speed index in the effort. The filly started in today's trial off a second-place effort in the Rainbow Oaks(G1) trials in her last start, June 29, when she qualified sixth for the uncontested $549,112 final.

Razor Sharp was third in the Four Corners Futurity and West Texas Juvenile at two and seems to be peaking at the right time, running 1sfirst or second in her last four starts. She has lit the board nine of 11 times and earned $74,361.

Not far behind her, longshot Karmas A Chick gave her backers and connections something to cheer about, finishing just a neck back with a stellar time of 21.010, the second-fastest on the day.

The Apollitical Jess filly, out of Wagon Chick V by Pyc Paint Your Wagon, was ridden by Jacob Enriquez for trainer Clinton Crawford and MJR Investments, Ltd., who also bred the bay filly in Oklahoma.

Karmas A Chick earned her spot in the final with determination despite going off at long odds. Qualifying for her first career stakes, she has earned $37,575.

The third-fastest qualifier emerged from the opening trial of the afternoon, where Bold N Beautiful turned in a determined effort to win by a neck in 21.063. The daughter of world champion sire Freighttrain B out of Always Dreaming by Run Away And Hide (TB) was piloted by Ali Rivera for trainer John A. Stinebaugh and owner-breeder Gentry Farms of Kentucky.

The victory marked her second career win and showcased her ability to dig in under pressure. Also a finalist in the Rainbow Oaks(G1), she was fourth in the Heritage Place Oaks(G2) and fifth in the Los Alamitos Oaks(G1) earlier this year.

Bold N Beautiful has banked $68,320 with nine of 13 on the board performances.

These standout performances were part of four heats run under hazy skies and 89-degree temperatures on a fast track. The trials drew a competitive group of fillies all vying for a spot in the lucrative final, which will take place on Monday, September 1, 2025, during Labor Day weekend at The Downs at Albuquerque.

With $700,898 on the line and $294,377 reserved for the winner, all eyes will turn back to Albuquerque in less than a month as these top fillies return to decide who will wear the crown in this year’s All American Oaks (G1).
