Chillin With Peeps, ridden by Cassandra Jeschke, powered gate-to-wire to capture Wednesday’s $40,686 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity at Ajax Downs

AJAX, ONTARIO–OCTOBER 22, 2025–Chillin With Peeps remained perfect in her young career with a decisive wire-to-wire victory in Wednesday’s $40,686 Alex Picov Memorial Futurity at Ajax Downs.

The sorrel filly, ridden by Cassandra Jeschke, completed the 400-yard final in 20.486 seconds while earning an 84 speed index and the winner’s share of $16,726. Owned, trained, and bred in Ontario by Chantelle Bourgeois, Chillin With Peeps broke from post two and quickly separated from her rivals, maintaining command throughout to score by 1¼ lengths.

The daughter of Rushago posted her second consecutive victory following her maiden win earlier this month, boosting her career earnings to $22,214. Out of Shake It Twice, a daughter of Look At Magics Form, the filly is one of several promising juveniles by Bourgeois’ homebred sire.

Lights Dynasty, a brown colt by The Marfa Lights, finished second under Brian Bell for owner Jennifer Zurowski and trainer Joe Tavares, clocking 20.671 seconds for an 80 speed index.

The Ontario-based runner, bred in Oklahoma by Andy Knight, is out of Conspicuous Dynasty by FDD Dynasty. A $13,000 purchase at the 2025 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale, Lights Dynasty has now hit the board in both career starts with $11,743 in earnings.

Third-place finisher Snow Fun N Fancy, a gray filly by Pyc Fun N Fancy, was bumped at the start but held on gamely to finish half of a length behind the runner-up in 20.750 seconds. She was ridden by J. Botello for trainer Jason Pascoe and owner-breeder Milena Kwiecien of Ontario.

Out of Taxing Queen Creek by Chicks Beduino, Snow Fun N Fancy previously won the Ontario Bred Futurity earlier this season and now has $21,722 in total earnings.

Rounding out the order of finish were Alabama Mooonshine, Suit Up, Shake Em Alice, Especially Tempting, Agent Ice, and Justt Jackson. Haaave You Met Karma was scratched by the veterinarian prior to post.
