OPELOUSAS, LA–DECEMBER 20, 2025– Franny B Dove continued her dominant run on Saturday, December 20, when she delivered a late rally to capture the $131,000 LQHBA Breeders Oaks at Evangeline Downs. The three-year-old Louisiana-bred filly completed the 350-yard distance in 17.957 seconds to earn the $69,353 winner’s share of the purse.

Breaking from post five under Leonardo Rodriguez and racing into a 12 mph headwind, Franny B Dove settled just off the early pace before launching a steady advance through the lane. She edged past San Lorenzo Princess in the final strides to prevail by a head, while RF Imperial Choice finished another neck back in third. The winning effort earned an 89 speed index over a fast track.

The victory marked Franny B Dove’s fifth consecutive win, a streak that includes back-to-back stakes victories in the Mardi Gras Oaks and the LQHBA Breeders Oaks.

Franny B Dove is a chestnut filly by Stevie B First Cash out of the Jazzing Hi mare Jazzing Micki, a winning mare and graded stakes finalist. Foaled March 28, 2022, in Louisiana, she is trained by Larry Keith for owner Randall Morein and was bred by Phil Guilbeau and Randy Morein. With the win, she improved her career record to 11-6-3-0 and increased her earnings to $176,053.

Finishing second was San Lorenzo Princess, a filly by Champion Sire Apollitical Blood out of the Corona Cartel mare Princess Of Torts, a two-time winner and stakes-placed runner in the Ruidoso Juvenile. Trained by Juan Garcia for owner Rogelio Marquez, Jr., and ridden by Arturo Alvarez, the $40,000 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate earned $26,200 for the runner-up effort. She now owns a career record of 10-5-3-0 with earnings of $146,892.

RF Imperial Choice completed the trifecta after overcoming early trouble. The filly is by Thoroughbred sire Imperial Hint out of the Heza Fast Dash mare RDD Obvious Choice. Owned and trained by Ismael Solis-Guevara and ridden by Juan Garcia, Jr., the $10,500 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate added $15,412 for the third-place finish. She now holds a career record of 23-4-5-2 with earnings of $158,271.

Completing the field were Golden Answerr and Billies Runnin Gold.
