OPELOUSAS, LA—DECEMBER 20, 2025—In a dramatic finish at the wire, Louisiana’s two-year-old powerhouse RF Fast Dash N Blood couldn’t be stopped. He extended his win streak to eight straight with a fourth stakes victory this season in Saturday’s LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity (RG1) at Evangeline Downs.
Ridden by Jorge Garcia, RF Fast Dash N Blood had a bumpy start leaving the gates in ninth place. The son of champion sire Apollitical Blood quickly shifted into high gear, and with one final surge at the wire, he got up in time to win the 400-yard stakes by a head.
Trained by Josue Ponce, the heavy favorite stopped the clock in 19.887 seconds and earned a 93 speed index, edging Jedi James, Luziana Man, and San Lorenzo Bossman in a tight finish. The latter three were separated by only a nose in a three-horse photo behind the winner.

Owner Jaime Cardenas, who purchased RF Fast Dash N Blood for $80,000 at the 2024 LQHBA Yearling Sale, said in an interview back in July, “I spotted him at the Louisiana Quarter Horse Breeders Association Sale, and I loved his bloodlines. When you buy a horse like this, you dream about winning a big futurity, and my dreams have now come true.”
Cardenas’ dreams have come true four times this year, to be exact. RF Fast Dash N Blood previously won the LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1), the Lee Berwick Memorial Louisiana Bred Futurity (RG1), and the Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity (RG2) at Delta Downs earlier this season.
With Saturday’s $445,000 winner’s share, RF Fast Dash N Blood became the newest member of the “Millionaire’s Club,” pushing his lifetime bankroll past the million-dollar mark to $1,176,989.
Rf Fast Dash N Blood was bred in Louisiana by Tim and Jennie Rogers of Rogers Farm. He is out of Fast Dash N Deb, a Heza Fast Dash mare who is a Grade 3 stakes-placed runner and track record setter.
“This win was some kind of exciting for Jennie and I,” Tim Rogers said. “I was nervous when he didn’t break on top because he has always done that in his previous wins.”
Rogers also credited his mare, Fast Dash N Deb, as a solid producer. “She was a nice runner, but has become an incredible broodmare for us,” he added. “We have bred her to five different stallions and she throws really good babies, but there is no question that RF Fast Dash N Blood is her best.”
RF Fast Dash N Blood is a half-brother to last year’s Lassie Futurity winner RF Fast Dash N Train, also owned by Cardenas, along with stakes winners RF Fast Dash N Jess and Mcm Fast Dashin Blue.
Runner-up Jedi James battled every step and missed by only a head after dueling through the length of the race. The son of Ivory James is trained by Luis Martinez Jr. for owner Ebelyn Rojas. Bred in Louisiana by Rogue Equine LLC, Jedi James is out of Rogue One, a Heza Fast Dash mare.
A $42,000 graduate of the LQHBA Yearling Sale, Jedi James earned his first black-type placing of the season with the runner-up finish and previously qualified as a finalist in the LQHBA Sale Futurity (G1). He now owns a record of eight starts, four wins, one second, and $286,506 in earnings.
Luziana Man once again proved his consistency with a determined third-place effort, beaten by only a nose for the runner-up spot. The bay gelding by Dominyun is owned by Rosalio Espinosa and Jerry Deville Jr. and trained by Jose Espinosa. Bred in Louisiana by Jerry West, the $13,500 LQHBA Yearling Sale graduate is out of Jewels Fortune, a First Down Jewel mare.
Luziana Man has repeatedly chased the winner this season, including runner-up finishes in the LQHBA Sale Futurity (RG1), the Lee Berwick Memorial Louisiana Bred Futurity (RG1), and the Louisiana Bred Laddie Futurity (RG2). His career record now stands at nine starts, five wins, three seconds, one third, and $381,428 in earnings.
San Lorenzo Bossman, Last Eagle V, Lrh Henry T, Jessapilottrain, Marcy Train B, Mucho Man Train B, and San Lorenzo Chicken completed the order of finish.
