Manny Sr Wins $10,500 Mexico Breeders Futurity Consolation On Sunday

MEXICO CITY, MEXICO–DECEMBER 22, 2025–Manny Sr came out on top in Sunday’s race 8 at Hipódromo de las Américas, winning the $10,500 Mexico Breeders Futurity Consolation over K To Be Queen and Woman Jessy Fly.

Alejandro Gomez Lopez rode Manny Sr to the 400-yard score in 20.18 seconds. The win was worth $5,250 and lifted the juvenile colt’s bankroll to $23,825. He now owns a 4-2-1 record from nine starts.

Earlier this season, Manny Sr was third in the Mexico Futurity Consolation and also made the finals of the Futurity Garanones. Bred in Mexico by Rancho Santa Rosa Chiapas, he is out of Kabaret by Favorite Cartel. Cesar Garcia Serrano trains son of One Big Bird for Cuadra Mendoza.

K To Be Queen, with Miguel Angel Rodriguez up, settled for second. Oscar Romo Garcia saddled the filly by Krash Cartel for Cuadra Chiconcuac.

Bred by Rancho Hda Santiago, she is out of Fit To Be Queen by Strawfly Special. With the runner-up finish, she improved to 1-3-2 from 10 starts and pushed her earnings to more than $12,600.

Woman Jessy Fly finished third for trainer Cesar Garcia Serrano and owner Rancho El Pirul. The Krash Cartel filly was bred by Abelardo Gallegos and is out of Jess Love To Fly by Fly Jess Fly. She now stands at 2-1-3 from 10 starts with $12,200 earned.

Hf Hope Is Back, Kc Diamante, Dk El Canelo, Raptor Amadeus, Rg Yaka Yaka Cartel, Natoche, and The Blues rounded out the order of finish.
