OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH 20, 2026– Jockey Randy Vega booted home T Bar Fabulous Eagle in the 330-yard featured allowance race Friday night at Remington Park, getting the gelding’s head in front late for the victory.
It was the third win in only nine starts for the 3-year-old Oklahoma-bred gray gelding’s career. He is a son of One Fabulous Eagle, out of the Seperate Interest mare Separate Boots, and is trained by Joaquin N. Lopez. The winner earned $19,365 for owner J and J Racing of Midland Texas from the $31,670 allowance purse. The race condition called for non-winners of three lifetime races. T Bar Fabulous Eagle improved his record to 9-3-2-3 for $83,625 in career earnings. The gelding was bred by A.C. Taylor.
Vega and Lopez swept the two allowance races to take the late daily double, winning the ninth race with T Bar Fabulous Eagle and then winning the finale, the 10th race, with Ninja Cowboy. The late double paid $71.60.
T Bar Fabulous Eagle returned $5.60 to win, $3.80 to place and $2.40 to show across the board. He was sent off as the 9-5 betting favorite. Ninja Cowboy was 5-1 and paid $12.40 to win, $5.60 to place and $4.60 to show. They both won from the far outside post in their respective races. Ninja Cowboy is owned by Manuel Montelongo of Guymon, Okla., and was bred in Oklahoma by Richard Joneson. Ninja Cowboy, a gelded son of Flying Cowboy 123, out of the Furrtreeous mare Cherry Chick, won for the second time in his career.
The winning time for T Bar Fabulous Eagle was :16.718 over a fast track as he earned a 90 speed index. He finished a head in front of runner-up Chloes Man (9-1), who was another neck ahead of third-place runner Party Time Tom (5-2).
Remington Park racing continues Saturday night with a first post of 6pm-Central. The racing card is filled with stakes races for American Quarter Horses, Paints and Appaloosas, including the Grade 2, $435,395 Oklahoma Futurity and the Grade 3, $259,655 Oklahoma Derby. This futurity is the longest running Quarter Horse race for 2-year-olds in the country. Also on the program, the Grade 1, $188,500 Oklahoma Paint & Appaloosa Futurity.
