Envestor Makes Impressive 3-Year-Old Debut at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—April 25, 2026 Last year’s All American Futurity graduate, Envestor, was coming off a layoff from that race last Labor Day to make his 3-year-old debut Saturday night at Remington Park. He shook off the rust to power to an easy win in the featured $35,210 allowance race.

One might think that breaking slowly in seventh in the field of eight horses might compromise his chances, but Envestor made a move under jockey Francisco Calderon that was more than eye-catching as he burst to the front before the 350-yard race was half over. The fourth-place finisher from the 2025 Grade 1, $3 million All American Futurity showed no signs of being in danger of losing even with the bad break. The Zack Stinebaugh trainee was a winner by a half-length when all was said and done and it could have been a larger margin, but Calderon confidently hand-rode the winner.

Envestor, an Arkansas-bred gelded son of Dulce Sin Tacha, out of the Stoli mare And Poof Shes Gone, won for the fourth time in five career tries with his only loss coming in that All American Futurity final on Sept. 1 when he ran 1-1/4 lengths back of the winner King of the Tide. Envestor ran his record to 5-4-0-0, picking up $19,215 for the allowance triumph to push his lifetime bankroll to $343,326. He was bred by Belinda Shaw and was purchased at the Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale of 2024. The lucky buyers, owners Richard Young, Joe David Yates and Zack Stinebaugh, have watched him back up the money truck and take them to the bank.

Filling out the trifecta behind Envestor (4-5 wagering favorite) were Kiss My Wine (9-1) in second and Pulgarcitos Moonin (37-1) another neck back in third. With the heavy favorite winning the race, that 50-cent trifecta still paid out $102.95. Envestor returned $3.80 to win, $3 to place and $2.60 to show. This sophomore gelding stopped the timer in :17.536 for a speed index of 91 over the fast track.

Envestor had begun his career with three consecutive wins prior to the All American Futurity. He broke his maiden at first asking in the Ruidoso Futurity trials on May 23, 2025, but didn’t qualify for the final. He then won again in the Rainbow Futurity trials on June 28, but didn’t race in that final either. When he won his All American Futurity trial on Aug. 4, by a half-length as the 1-5 favorite, he earned a 99 speed index and qualified. In the All American final, he broke sixth, moved up to third, before fading to fourth, three-quarters of a length out of third place. He was ridden that day by his regular rider Ali Rivera, who had been aboard for all his races. The victory Saturday night was the first time Calderon had ridden Envestor in an official race.

Remington Park racing continues Sunday, April 26 with first the post time at 4 p.m.-Central.
