POCATELLO, ID–MAY 2, 2026– Five trial heats contested over a fast racing surface at Pocatello Downs on Saturday produced the finalists for the $50,000-est. Idaho Cup Futurity, with juveniles sprinting 300 yards in pursuit of a spot in the May 25 final.

Leading the qualifiers is OJD Shez All Freight, a filly bred and owned by Karla and Oscar Diaz, trained by Javier Fuentes and ridden by Fernando Olague.

Making her career debut in the fourth trial, the daughter of world champion Freighttrain B delivered a sharp, professional effort, breaking alertly and holding her advantage throughout to stop the clock in :15.858, earning an 88 speed index—the fastest time of the night.

Out of the stakes-winning Jesse James Jr mare One Prompt JJ, she showed determination late under urging to secure the top qualifying mark.

Second fastest qualifier CGR Winnr Wonderland also emerged from the same trial, finishing a solid second behind the top qualifier while closing with interest late.

The filly, bred and owned by CGR Racing LLC and trained by Jarrett Mills, covered the distance in :15.939 with an 85 speed index in her first career start.

Sired by graded stakes winner Cyber Monday and out of the winning Ivory James mare Wonderland, she showed a strong late stride that suggests added distance in the final could be to her advantage.

Mound Valley Cowgirl secured the third-fastest qualifying time with a victory in the final trial of the evening. Ridden by Luis Cruz Ruiz for owner-breeder Eddie Jensen and trainer Tony Hyde, the daughter of leading sire Flying Cowboy 123 blasted from the gate and never relinquished command, stopping the clock in :16.025 with an 82 speed index.

Out of the Foose mare Royal Fooseperrypie, the filly displayed natural early speed in her debut and held firm late to fend off a tightly grouped field.

Across the five trials, times ranged from :15.858 to :16.212, reflecting a competitive group of Idaho-bred juveniles with several tightly matched efforts behind the top trio. With multiple first-time starters showing professionalism and late kick, the May 25 final shapes up as a wide-open affair featuring a blend of early speed and developing closers.
