OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—MAY 30, 2026—Mw Bcause Im Alive dug in gamely through the final strides and surged late to prevail by the slimmest of margins in Saturday’s Grade 1 $231,400 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity at Remington Park.

The sorrel colt stopped the timer in 17.867 seconds for 350 yards, securing the winner’s share of $89,089.

Owned by Haus of Hero and trained by James Gonzales III, Mw Bcause Im Alive was ridden to victory by Christian Cardenas. The Oklahoma-bred son of second-crop sire B Cause Im A Hero out of Pistol Grippin Gal, by CRM Livewire, was bred by James and Wendy Howard.

Breaking sharply from the outside post, the colt dueled throughout and found another gear late to edge clear at the wire. He has won three of five starts and banked $106,149.

Runner-up Chilinator was beaten only a nose after a determined effort from start to finish. The Chilitos filly, owned by Amy and Brent Page, is trained by Matt Whitekiller and was ridden by Francisco Calderon. Chilinator earned $39,338 for the narrow defeat.

Dulce Dinero rallied strongly after a troubled beginning to finish third, just three-quarters of a length behind the winner. The Dulce Sin Tacha gelding hopped and bobbled at the start before changing lanes and closing willingly in the stretch.

Owned by Shari Burger and Vickie McBee, Dulce Dinero is trained by Jesus Ruiz and was piloted by Mario Delgado. The third-place finish was worth $25,454.

The remainder of the order of finish was Zazas Coconut Cartel in fourth, Dw Showin D Off in fifth, Dallas North Tollway in sixth, Big Rotney in seventh, and Ima Hot Mess in eighth.
