Mysterious Hero and jockey Cesar Moreno win Saturday’s $86,048 Beehive Futurity Final at Weber Downs.

OGDEN, UT–MAY 30, 2026–Mysterious Hero kept his perfect record intact Saturday at Weber Downs, rallying late to win the $86,048 Beehive Futurity by a half length over Sp Cyber City.

The bay gelding, who entered as the fastest qualifier, covered the 300 yards in 15.394 seconds and earned a 102 speed index with no wind. Ridden by Cesar Moreno, Mysterious Hero delivered the final kick for owner Luis Gonzalez and trainer Abelardo Gonzalez. The victory was worth $36,140 and boosted his earnings to $37,640 from two wins in as many starts.

Bred in Texas by J/R Robicheaux and Spanish Moss QH, Mysterious Hero is by Tarzanito. He is out of Mysterious Night, by Valiant Hero and sold for $10,000 at the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

Sp Cyber City finished second by one-half length under David Alvarez Jr. for owners Buckway Ranch LLC and Joe M. Davis, who also trains him. The son of Cyber Monday was bred in Utah by Spencer Peterson and is out of High Five City, by Five Bar Cartel. Still a maiden through three starts, Sp Cyber City has earned $14,993.

Ojd Quantum Trot checked in third, three-quarters of a length behind the runner-up, with Fernando Olague aboard. Trainer Javier Fuentes saddled the son of Cyber Monday for owners Karla Diaz and Oscar Diaz.

Bred in Idaho by Karla Diaz Gomez, the bay gelding is out of Ojd Miss Lola, by One Sweet Jess. Ojd Quantum Trot has one win and one third from two starts with $11,926 in earnings.

Survivor T, Rippin Lindy, Rawls Royce, Miss Corona Menace, Famosa Sin Tacha, Sues Dynasty and Silvers Creek completed the order of finish.
