OGDEN, UT—MAY 30, 2026— CG Racing, LLC's Cgr Jag Wire surged late to defeat stablemate Stanley Dale by a neck in the $43,163 Maiden Frolic Stakes (not black type) Saturday at Weber Downs, covering 330 yards over a wet-fast surface in 16.872 while earning a 94 speed index. The victory was worth $18,224.
A 3-year-old lightly raced gelding by champion sire The Louisiana Cartel out of the Mr Jess Perry mare High Spirited Jess, Cgr Jag Wire was bred in Wyoming by CG Racing LLC. Jarrett Mills saddled the winner, who was ridden by Eric Ayala. Breaking from post three, Cgr Jag Wire tracked the early pace before finishing strongly through the lane to secure the victory.
It was the first win in three career starts for the gelding, who has earned $19,344.
Stanley Dale, racing for CG Racing, LLC and Lost River Racing, held the early advantage but settled for second, another neck behind the winner. The 4-year-old sorrel gelding by champion Jess Good Candy out of Dunk Two Politicians, by Apollitical Jess, was also bred by CG Racing LLC.

Trained by Jarrett Mills and ridden by Cordarelton Benn, Stanley Dale earned $7,434 for the runner-up effort. Thrid in the Hadley/Giles Futurity last year, the gelding has banked $19,432 in six starts.
Snooze U Lose finished third, three-quarters of a length behind Stanley Dale. The 5-year-old sorrel horse by Reagal Eagle out of No Snoozin Floozie, by Takin On the Cash, was bred in Oklahoma by Richard Joneson.
Owned and trained by Lynn McNeely and ridden by Nakia Teeter, Snooze U Lose collected $5,275. The gelding sold for $12,000 at the 2022 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.
Bf Candyrageous finished fourth, followed by Special Buddy Bc in fifth, Dabble Dee in sixth, Awesome Cowboy in seventh, Perfect Exchange in eighth, and Lethal Cowboy in ninth.
The Maiden Frolic Stakes was contested at 330 yards for horses three years old and older that remained eligible to the event. A field of nine starters went to the gate after Wdc Jess Hoss was scratched.
