CYPRESS, CA–JUNE 13, 2026–Reigning AQHA Champion 3-Year-Old Filly and 2025 PCQHRA Horse of the Year Shaken Goin On added another chapter to her spectacular Los Alamitos career on Saturday night, capturing the Grade 2, $75,000 Abigail Kawananakoa Handicap in a heart-pounding finish.

Fresh off her season-opening triumph in the Grade 2 Miss Princess Handicap, the superstar mare had to display every ounce of her championship grit to secure her second major stakes victory of the 2026 season and remain perfect in four stakes competitions dating back to the Justanold Love Stakes on November 8.

"She's one of them kind that doesn't like to get beat," said winning trainer Eddie Willis. "She's about as good as she's ever been. She's real sound and does everything right. That's all she's got to do."

Breaking like a rocket from post position seven under regular pilot Justine Klaiber, Shaken Goin On enjoyed a flying start to immediately control the 350-yard sprint. The Eddie Willis trainee quickly opened a commanding 3/4-length lead on the elite field of fillies and mares, putting her super gate speed on full display.

"She leaves the gate really good," Willis noted. "If she does that she's hard to beat."

As the field hit mid-stretch, the daughter of Freighttrain B maintained a safe half-length advantage, but the closing yards turned into a real tussle. While her early challengers were too far to threaten, Gentry Farms’ classy Bold N Beautiful launched a furious, late-flying rally from the outside. Shaken Goin On dug deep in the final jumps, desperately holding on as Bold N Beautiful surged with giant strides at the wire. In a photo finish, the champion held on by a mere nose.

Sent off as the heavy post-time favorite, Shaken Goin On rewarded her backers with a $2.60 mutuel payout. The $41,250 winner's share of the purse pushed her lifetime earnings to $475,470 and improved her stellar career record to 12 victories from 19 lifetime starts.

Owned by James Sills and AA Horse Racing Inc., Shaken Goin On has now captured four consecutive stakes races from five straight wins at the Orange County oval dating back to her spectacular 3-year-old championship campaign. In addition to the Justanold Love, Miss Princess and Abigail Kawananakoa, she also won the Grade 2 Southern California Derby against open competition.

With two Grade 2 trophies already on her mantle this season, Willis is looking ahead to a lucrative summer and fall campaign at the Orange County oval.

"We'll go to the next one in about 40 days with her and we'll see what happens," Willis said.

Upcoming major events for the track's elite fillies and mares include the Florentine Stakes on Sunday, August 9. That race will serve as the final local stepping stone before the premier event of the division, the Grade 1 Mildred Vessels Memorial Handicap on September 12, which offers a presumptive berth into the Grade 1 Champion of Champions.

Bold N Beautiful earned a well-deserved runner-up check after just missing the upset at 8-1 odds, completing a high-class exactas for the top mares on the grounds. Ridden by Eduardo Nicasio, Bold N Beautiful earned $16,875. Juan Aleman trains the homebred, who is also out of Freighttrain B and out of Always Dreaming

The rest of the elite distaff field followed with Miss Princess runner-up AJ Flawless running third and Terra Fina running fourth. Arizona invader Imm Beyond The Stars was fourth followed by Virginia Hyland winner One Sweet Duck, Jo Lee, Val Baby and Ohana Spirit.
