JEROME, ID–JUNE 21, 2026–BG Hawks An Eagles APHA and jockey Luis Collazo captured the $8,050 Harvest Cup Paint & Appaloosa Futurity (not black type) at Jerome County Fair on June 21. Racing for owner and trainer Cesar Luna, the filly was bred by Becky Grant.
Sired by Eagle Deluxe and out of the Hawkinson mare Gone By, BG Hawks An Eagles broke sharply from the rail, took command early, and held off the late challenge of Unspotted Prize to score by one-half length.
The victory improved her record to 3-1-0-1 and increased her earnings to $4,789. She entered the race off a fourth-place finish in the Pocatello Downs Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Division 1.
Unspotted Prize ApHC finished second under Ricardo Del Cid for owner-breeder Ralph Hartline and trainer Todd Thomas. The colt is by Spotted Wagon and out of the The Louisiana Cartel mare Cajun Prize.
After breaking well, he tracked the winner throughout and finished willingly to secure the runner-up spot. He now owns a record of 3-0-1-1 with earnings exceeding $2,000. He began his career with a third-place finish in the Pocatello Downs Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Division 1.
Following the disqualification of Mr Kelly Deluxe APHA from third to fifth, BG Dream Crusher ApHC was elevated to third. Ridden by Raphael Romero for owner-breeder Becky Grant and trainer Wasey Erickson, the filly is sired by Uncle D and out of the Lotta Loot mare BR Pleasure.
She raced close to the leaders throughout and continued evenly to finish fourth on the track before being moved up one position through the disqualification. This was her second career start and she has now earned $3,845. Her only previous outing resulted in a victory in the Pocatello Downs Paint & Appaloosa Futurity Division 1.
BG This Is My Broom ApHC finished fourth after being bumped during the running but still mounted a mild late bid.
