CV Star Spirit, posted the fastest qualifying time to the $46,755 Clásico Jodys Glory at Hipódromo de las Américas in Mexico City on Sunday.

MEXICO CITY, MX–JULY 19, 2026–Twelve 2-year-olds competed in two trials Sunday at Hipódromo de las Américas seeking one of the qualifying spots to the $46,755 Clásico Jodys Glory, a 350-yard stakes scheduled for August 9.

CV Star Spirit won the second of the two trials while posting the fastest qualifying time of :17.649. Racing for Cuadra UR, the daughter of Apollitical Spirit scored her second career win from five starts. She is out of One Famous Starlet by One Famous Eagle and was bred by Alberto Armendariz Rodriguez.

Trained by Jorge Arturo Sanchez Romero and ridden by Huberclein Gomez, CV Star Spirit will be seeking her first stakes victory after finishing sixth in The Prize Classic earlier this season.

Flying Rose finished second under jockey Alejandro Gomez Lopez to CV Star Spirit in the second trial while recording the second-fastest qualifying time of :17.747. Trained by Antonio Garcia Carranza, the filly has one win from five starts and was also a finalist in The Prize Classic.

Racing for Cuadra Alpuyeca, the daughter of Flying Cowboy 123, is out of Corona Tea Rose by Corona Cartel and was bred by Garlyn O. Shelton. Flying Rose was a $15,000 purchase from the 2025 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

RG Queen Of Hearts won the first trial in 17.758 to secure the third-fastest qualifying time while breaking her maiden. Owned by Rancho Las Gaviotas, the filly by Favorite Cartel is out of Tallulah Moon by Corona Cartel and was bred by Fulton Quien Sabe Ranches LP.

Trained by Alfredo Rabanal Salinas and ridden by Mario Alberto Lopez Marmolejo, RG Queen Of Hearts enters the final off a third-place finish in the John Deere Hipódromo de las Américas Juvenile Challenge after also finishing fifth in The Prize Classic earlier this season.
