EVANSTON, WY—JULY 19, 2026—Outlaw Jess surged in the final strides to collar longtime leader Er Mountain X at the wire, posting a neck victory in Sunday's $23,750 Unita County Accredited Wyoming Bred Maturity at Wyoming Downs.

The 4-year-old brown colt stopped the timer in 19.671 for 400 yards, earning a 102 speed index while giving owner Chris Nebeker and breeder Jim Nebeker a homebred stakes victory.

Trained by Kylie Valenzuela and ridden by Kevin Carbajal, Outlaw Jess returned $8.20 to win after rallying from midpack and edging past Er Mountain X in the final jump.

The son of Jess Paint Me out of Josie Bassett, by Maknmoves, earned $13,063 for the victory, boosting his career bankroll to $91,122 from 13 starts with six wins

Er Mountain X finished a game second after setting the pace and being caught only at the wire. The 5-year-old black horse by Jr Dynasty Mountain out of Ud Midnight Peach, by Perrywithrhythm, races for owners and breeders Ross Brown and Elsha McGarry, with Brown also serving as trainer. David Alvarez Jr. had the mount aboard the runner-up, who was beaten a neck while earning $4,750.

Another one-half length back, Yo Morning Delite completed the trifecta with a steady effort throughout. The 6-year-old sorrel gelding by Brindis Por Cayenne out of Rs Afternoon Delite, by Southern Corona, is owned by Gerald Kaul, was bred by Gerald F. Kaul, trained by Jess Matt, and ridden by Jacob Cardenas. The veteran earned $3,087 for third. A multiple stakes winner, Yo Morning Delite has earned $247,326 in 36 career starts.

The remainder of the order of finish was One Seperate Eagle (4th), Famoushandsomeman (5th), Kcross Comin In Hot (6th), Sj Illusive N Shady (7th), Y O She Is A Runner (8th), D and D Dynasty (9th), and Bds Dally An Eagle (10th). Following the race, the stewards reviewed an objection involving One Seperate Eagle, Sj Illusive N Shady, and Bds Dally An Eagle, but allowed the original order of finish to stand.
