MEXICO CITY, MX—AUGUST 9, 2026—Br Chago delivered the fastest qualifying performance Sunday at Hipodromo de las Americas, leading 10 qualifiers into the $61,172 Derby Desafio Crianza Mexicana final scheduled for August 30.

Twenty-three Mexican-bred 3-year-olds competed in three 350-yard trials Sunday, with the winner of each heat producing the three fastest times of the afternoon.

Br Chago turned in the quickest clocking when he broke from the outside and won the third and final trial in 17.554. The effort earned the gelding an 88 speed index. Cesar Garcia Serrano trains Br Chago for owner Cuadra Bronco Rider, and Huberclein Gomez was aboard for Sunday's qualifying victory.

Bred in Mexico by Maximiliano Perez C, Br Chago is a 3-year-old son of Jess Lips from the Ocean Runaway mare Ocean Glory. He has won four of nine career starts and has earned approximately $55,000.

Br Chago entered Sunday's trials off a victory in the Subasta Selecta Derby earlier this summer. He was also a finalist in the Mexican Bred Futurity as a 2-year-old last season.

Stablemate El Agravio RCH posted the second-fastest qualifying time after winning the second trial in 17.622. Also trained by Garcia Serrano, El Agravio RCH races for Cuadra El Tormento and was ridden by Juan Diego Marquez. Rodolfo Chavez Terrazas bred the colt in Mexico.

El Agravio RCH is by Extremely Defining and out of La Turbina RCH, by Rabbits Rainbow. He has compiled a 3-2-1 record from eight career starts while earning nearly $27,000. As a freshman, El Agravio RCH qualified for the Mexican Bred Futurity Challenge and Alberto Bailleres Futurity.

Mi Krash Favorito won the opening trial to secure the third-fastest qualifying time of 17.738.

Luis Enrique Cruz Solis trains the gelding for Cuadra San Martin, with Paul Osvaldo Rodriguez handling the riding assignment. Bred by Abelardo Gallegos, Mi Krash Favorito is by Krash Cartel from the Favorite Cartel mare Estrella De Noche.

Mi Krash Favorito has won three of 17 starts with two seconds and two thirds while earning more than $57,000. The multiple stakes finalist has already qualified for the Garanones Derby, Mexico Derby, and Subasta Selecta Derby this season. He was also a finalist in the Mexican Bred Futurity in 2025.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from Sunday's three trials will return to Hipodromo de las Americas on August 30 for the 350-yard $61,172 Derby Desafio Crianza Mexicana.
