OPELOUSAS, LA—JUNE 20, 2025—Champion racehorse and elite stallion Separatist, whose progeny have earned over $26.4 million, will stand the 2026 breeding season at Louisiana Center for Equine Reproduction (LACER) in Opelousas, Louisiana. His stud fee will remain $2,500, with limited cooled semen available.
Currently ranked as the 20th all-time leading sire of money earners, Separatist has sired 22 crops to race, producing 791 winners—an impressive 63% win rate—and 167 stakes horses, equating to 14% stakes performers. His starters average over $21,000 in earnings each.
"I can remember being just nine or ten years old, staying up late to watch Separatist race at Los Alamitos," said Stephen Deville, breeding manager at LACER. "I’ve had tremendous respect for this horse—watching him emerge as a leading sire early on and later gain prominence as a top broodmare sire. It’s a real honor to stand him in his twilight stud years here at LACER."
Deville expressed his gratitude to Guy Peixoto Jr. for the opportunity to collaborate on this new chapter for the stallion, to Zerlotti Genetics for maintaining Separatist in excellent condition at 28 years of age, and to Clayton Baker of 4B Transportation for ensuring his safe arrival in Louisiana.

Owned by a syndicate, Separatist is the sire of numerous standouts, including AQHA Racing World Champion DM Shicago, who earned $1,873,730; 3-time AQHA Racing Champion Moonist SI 101, who recorded 24 wins and earnings of $878,468; Rainbow Derby (G1) winner Separate Bet with $799,481; AQHA Racing Champion and G1 sire Inseperable with $672,756; G3 winner and G1 sire Separate Interest with $486,781; G3 winner and Los Alamitos track record holder Divide The Cash with $448,643; G3 winner Separatist Firstdown SI 109, who won 11 races and earned $436,117; and G3 winner Myst Fit SI 97, with 7 wins and $258,379.
