THATCHER, AZ–DECEMBER 31, 2025–The Arizona Quarter Horse Racing Association has announced that once again host its Annual Stallion Service Auction online. The auction will open January 1, 2026, and conclude January 30 at 7:00 p.m. (MST).

AQRA extends its sincere appreciation to the stallion owners, managers, and farms who continue to support the association through generous breeding donations. Their commitment remains the backbone of this program and the future of Arizona Quarter Horse racing.

All 2026 foals by stallions sold or repurchased in the auction will be eligible for the 2029 Desert Classic Futurity and the subsequent Derby, both to be run in Arizona. AQRA guarantees that a minimum of 50 percent of all stallion auction proceeds will be added directly to the Desert Classic Stakes Program.

The remaining funds will be reinvested into AQRA initiatives, including scholarships, purse enhancements, and promotional efforts aimed at strengthening and expanding Quarter Horse racing opportunities throughout the state.

The winning bidder for each breeding must submit a check made out to AQRA Stallion Service Auction or pay by credit card within five (5) days of auction closure. AQRA pays all farm fees (up to $500). All other fees including, mare care, vet charges and shipped semen fees are the mare owners responsibility.
