Miss Vals Easy Cash Wins Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Stakes at Chippewa

Miss Vals Easy Cash Wins Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Stakes at Chippewa

BELCOURT, ND—SEPTEMBER 5, 2020—Miss Vals Easy Cash picked up her tenth career victory on Saturday afternoon in the $3,400 Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred Stakes (not black-type) at Chippewa Downs.

Miss Vals Easy Cash ($3.40) and jockey Evan Herman cleared the field by over two lengths in the 550-yard stake. The final time was 28.940 for a 77 speed index.

Miss Vals Easy Cash is trained by Terry Davis for owner and breeder John Bubel. The 5-year-old Quarter horse mare is by Such Easy Cash, out of Miss Salty Val, by Dashing Val.

The stake was the tenth win in 25 starts for Miss Vals Easy Cash. She has raced exclusively in North Dakota and has won multiple stakes, including the Northern Plains Futurity in 2017 and most recently, the April Lafountain Memorial last month, also at Chippewa.

Lil Bit of Thunder finished in second place with Larren Delorme aboard. The 8-year-old Thoroughbred is trained by Perry Cavanaugh for owner Clifford Cavanaugh.

Lil Bit of Thunder was bred in Pennsylvania by Two-Turn Farm, LLC, by Ecclesiastic, out of Brenda D S , by Fortunate Prospect. The gelding has ten wins in 51 career starts with earnings of over $72,000.

Fancy Pant and jockey Zachary Bacon completed the field for trainer Jeff Charbonneau. Fancy Pant is a 3-year-old Paint filly by Daimon’s Tale, out of Treasured Penny, by Special Eliminator. He was bred in North Dakota by his owner, Kenneth Groce.

Fancy Pant has seven wins in ten starts, including the Chippewa Downs Open Futurity, the Chippewa Open QH Derby and the North Dakota Bred Grassroots Derby.
