Alliekat Dynasty Keeps Her Win Streak Alive In The $76,000 FL Lady Bug Stakes [RG3]

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 27, 2023–Alliekat Dynasty scores her third consecutive win at Remington Park since last month in the $76,000 FL Lady Bug Stakes [RG3] on Saturday evening.

With Roman Cruz in the irons, Alliekat Dynasty took the lead at first call with strengthening strides to the wire for a neck victory over Where Is Camila. Trained by Jesus Ruben Ruiz, the daughter of FDD Dynasty clocked an 89 speed index in :17.693 seconds. The 5/2 odd victory paid $7.80 to win on a $2.00 wager.

Cruz, was as surprised as anyone that Alliekat Dynasty broke on top and never was headed to win the FL Lady Bug.

''I was really surprised that she was standing so still in the gate while everyone else went wild,'' said Cruz, ''She usually breaks slow. Not tonight. She broke good and was gone.''

Alliekat Dynasty started her three-race win streak with a maiden win on April 2 and then followed that with win No. 2 in the Heritage Place Futurity trials on May 12. She got her biggest paycheck for this stakes win, however, pulling down $42,600 for owner Arrowhead Racing of Wapanucka, Okla. Alliekat Dynasty improved her record to four starts, three wins for $62,617 in earnings.

''She has started a little slowly,'' said Ruiz, ''but she is starting to figure it out.''

Alliekat Dynasty is out of the Apollitical Jess stakes winning mare Political Scorpion, who is a full sister to champion Admiral Sting. She was bred in Oklahoma by Jahree Standridge.

Where Is Camila, piloted by Edwin Escobedo was brushed at the start but dueled on for second place 3/4-lengths ahead of She Looks Political. The daughter of Flying Cowboy 123 broke her maiden last month at Remington Park and has $31,359 in career earnings.

Breeder Kelly Yother Equine, LLC sold Where is Camila to her current owner Eliseo Rodriguez for $36,000 in the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale. She is out of Grade 3 stakes-placed mare Symbol Of Faith by Tac It Like A Man.

Trainer Jorge Gonzalez saddled She Looks Political, who placed third under jockey L. Salvador Martinez, for owner/breeder Double A ranch, Inc. The daughter of Apolitical Jess has yet to break her maiden with four third place finishes from four starts and $23,910 in the bank.

She Looks Political Is out of the First Down Dash stakes winning mare She Looks Racy, whose dam is Champion Miss Racy Jess, half-sister to Champion One Sweet Racy.

The FL Lady Bug Stakes is for 2-year-old Oklahoma-bred fillies. FL Lady Bug was a prominent broodmare and American Quarter Horse Association Hall of Famer inductee. She was owned by Hall of Fame owners and breeders Marvin and Lela Barnes of Ada, Okla.

Rounding out the order of finish was Countess Tres Seis, Acapulco Bay, Silver Dakota Moon, Mh Tres Bird, Vintage Candy, My Valentine Chic and Shaundas Hero.
