Three Separate Sixes, under jockey Gonzalo Gutierrez, gets up over Sheza Famous Candy to win the $363,703 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship Sunday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs.

CLAREMORE, OK–NOVEMBER 19, 2023–Three Separate Sixes got up late to defeat Sheza Famous Candy by a neck in the $363,703 Black Gold Fillies Futurity Championship Sunday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs. Famous Lady Kate finished 1-1/4 lengths back in third.

Under jockey Gonzalo Gutierrez, Three Separate Sixes completed the 400 yards in :19.866 seconds, equaling a 95 speed index with a 17 mph tailwind. It was the third win in five starts for the daughter of leading sire Tres Seis.  The $145,481 winner's purse boosted the filly's earning total to $168,382.

Fourth in the Easy Jet Stakes(RG3) at Remington Park last May, Three Separate Sixes races for owners Andy Knight and Austin Watterson. Durk Peery trains the bay filly out of Leverage Separtist by Separatist. Knight is also the breeder.

Runner-up Sheza Famous Candy fought hard under jockey Ramiro Garcia to earn $61,830 for second. Jason Olmstead trains the One Famous Eagle filly for owner Thomas J. Scheckel. S-Quarter K LLC bred the graded stakes-placed filly in California from the Oak Tree Special mare Send Me Special. Second in the Valley Junction Futurity(G2) and a finalist in the Heritage Place Futurity, Sheza Famous Candy has earned $200,602.

Trainer John Stinebaugh saddled third-place finisher Famous Lady Kate for owner Lana Bailey. Ali Rivera had the riding call on the One Famous Eagle filly out of champion Kates Dynasty by FDD Dynasty. Bred in Texas by Julianna Hawn Holt, Famous Lady Kate has earned $44,290 in five starts.

Aj Lady Tres, Relentless Fantsy, Jess A French Girl, Shes Sumoke Stacked, Bv Miss Mona, Preyin And Dashin and Midnight Pollitics completed the field.
