Game For Tarzan Breaks Maiden, Sets Top Mark in 307 Horse Racing Futurity

GILLETTE, WY—JUNE 16, 2024—Game For Tarzan broke his maiden in his second career start today while posting the fastest qualifying time from six trials contested for the 307 Horse Racing Futurity at Energy Downs 307 Horse Racing.

The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to the Gillette, Wyoming, racecourse on Sunday, June 30th, to vie for the winner's share of the $50,000-added purse at a distance of 300 yards.

Starting off a troubled effort in his career debut, where he won a Miles City maiden race by three lengths but was disqualified for interference and placed last, Game For Tarzan easily pulled clear today under jockey Ricardo Del Cid, winning by one length. His 15.710 clocking, the fastest trial time of the day, equaled an 83-speed index with an 8 mph tailwind.

Diana Garfias trains the son of second-crop sire Tarzanito for owner Triple G Racing LLC. Robicheaux Ranch bred the colt in Wyoming from the Game Patriot mare, Ms Patriot Awe. This is the family of grade 1 winner and sire Azoom.

Beehive Juvenile Stakes winner Kaseys Spirit rolled to her third consecutive win in the final trial to set the second fastest clocking of 15.736 seconds, an 82-speed index. The daughter of leading third-crop sire Kvn Corona broke best under jockey Jesus Valenzuela to promptly win by one length.

Kylie Valenzuela trains the Idaho homebred from the Mr Jess Perry's mare, High Spirited Jess, for owner-breeder CG Racing LLC. The undefeated 2-year-old has earned $10,822.
