Bg Vroom Vroom Broom Gets First Victory In The Harvest Cup P&A Futurity at Jerome County Fair

JEROME, ID–JUNE 16, 2024–Bg Vroom Vroom Broom (ApHC) gets first career win in the $7,750 Harvest Cup Paint and Appaloosa Futurity (not black type) at Jerome County Fair on Sunday.

It was a repeat of the Paint and Appy Overnight Futurity run on May 18th at Pocatello Downs between stablemates Bg Vroom Vroom Broom and Bg Winning Legacy. Only this time Bg Vroom Vroom Broom came out on top by a neck.

Owned and trained by Bryan Grant of Idaho, Bg Vroom Vroom Broom busted from the gates in second and quickly took the lead at first call, defeating post-time favorite and Bg Winning Legacy. Raphael Romero piloted the daughter of The Louisiana Cartel to her neck victory in :18.450 seconds. The payout on a $2.00 wager was $8.20 on 7/2 odds.

The Appaloosa filly has one win and one second with $5,250 in the bank from two starts. She placed second in the P&A Overnight Futurity in May to Bg Winning Legacy.

Becky Grant bred Bg Vroom Vroom Broom in Idaho out of Brooms Cash by Takin The Cash. Grant also bred and owns Bg Winning Legacy, who is out of CMB A Final Legacy by Geneo JJ.

Runner-up Bg Winning Legacy has one win and one second with $6,550 in the bank. Trainer Darric Grant saddled jockey Eric Ayala aboard the son of Winners Version.

Ivory Moon, piloted by Oscar Villa, placed third. The Paint son of Osage Spirit has yet to break his maiden from two starts for owner/breeder C& T Horses. Wasey Erickson conditions the brown gelding out of Moonlight Kelly by Darkelly.

Kj Royal Blue, Kj With Honoirs, Ivoryquest and Mas Dinero complete the field.
