Tf One Dashn Lajolla Breaks Maiden, Sets Top Mark For Grants Pass Firecracker Futurity

GRANTS PASS, OR–JUNE 16, 2024–Louisiana-bred Tf One Dashn Lajolla broke her maiden at first asking today while posting the fastest qualifying time for the Firecracker Futurity at Grants Pass Downs.

The 10 fastest qualifiers from six trial races conducted today will return to the Grants Pass, Oregon racetrack on Thursday, July 4th, to vie for the winner's share of a $30,000-added purse going a distance of 350 yards.

Tf One Dashn Lajolla drifted in under jockey Guillermo Suarez in her first career start while defeating Hunny Moon by a head in trial 5 to get the fastest clocking of 17.554 seconds, equaling a 93-speed index.

Trainer Jorge Luis Carmona saddled the daughter of world champion One Dashing Eagle for himself and co-owners-and-breeders Jugo De La Torre and Tate Farms. The sorrel filly is out of Lavish La Jolla by Streakin La Jolla.

Hunny Moon finished the same trial in 17.577 seconds to get the second fastest time, also a 93-speed index, for owner-trainer Ricardo Mariles-Santos.  Blake Nunnally had the riding call aboard the $12,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate.

AQHA Racing champion breeder Bobby D. Cox bred the daughter of champion Moonin The Eagle in Oklahoma from the Corona Cartel mare All Biznez.
