Kaseys Spirit, piloted by Jesus Valenzuela, goes wire-to-wire to win the $125,000 307 Horse Racing Futurity by a head on Saturday at Energy Downs.

GILLETTE, WY–JUNE 30, 2024–Second fastest qualifier from the trials, Kaseys Spirit, returns to get her fourth consecutive win on Sunday afternoon in the $125,000 307 Horse Racing Futurity at Energy Downs.

Regular rider Jesus Valenzuela, who has led Kaseys Spirit to all of her previous victories, got the leg up on the two-year-old powerhouse for a length victory over Tempting Look. The duo clocked an 81 speed index in :15.742 seconds against a 20 mph headwind, and the 300-yard win paid $6.00 on a 2/1 odds.

Trained by Kylie Valenzuela, Kaseys Spirit has four career wins with two stakes victories, including the Beehive Juvenile Stakes at Weber Downs, where she broke the track record. The post-time favorite sired by Kvn Corona earned $62,500 in today's futurity, increasing her bankroll to $67,135.

Cg Racing, LLC bred Kaseys Spirit in Wyoming out of High Spirited Jess by Mr Jess Perry.

Felipe Dominguez got the mount aboard Tempting Look for his ride to second. The son of Tempting Dash has lit the board four of five starts, breaking his maiden with the fourth fastest time in the trials. He has earned $21,250 for his owner, Adrian Aleman, and was a finalist in the Pocatello Downs Spring Classic Futurity last month.

Carolyn and Jose Adrian Aleman bred Tempting Look out of the Righteous Brother mare Righteous Look in Utah. He is conditioned by Juan Hernandez.

Dreamming Dash was piloted to third by Valente Vorrath. Carlos Gandara saddled the Colorado-bred filly for owner/breeder Beatriz Gandara. Sired by Dreamnon, the sorrel filly out of Look To Monte Cristo by First Comment has one win and one third from two starts with $13,125 in the bank.

Zoomn Blue Dynasty, Flo Joe, Night Fury, Game For Tarzan, Glock 9 and Little Painted One complete the order of finish. Gh Fabulous Version was scratched.
