Eos Keep Dreamin Makes Her Win A Reality in The $48,000 Minnesota Quarter Horse Futurity

SHAKOPEE, MN–AUGUST 31, 2024–After breaking her maiden three weeks ago, Eos Keep Dreamin keeps the momentum going with her first stakes victory in the $48,000 Minnesota Quarter Horse Futurity at Canterbury Park on Saturday.

Angel Ramirez got the leg up aboard Eos Keep Dream for her 3/4-length victory over favorite Da Lie Lah. After a bumped start, the daughter of leading second-year sire Flying Cowboy 123 gained on the field, crossing the wire first in 18.488 seconds. The slight upset paid $10.40 on 3-1 odds.

Armando Alvidrez piloted Da Lie Lah to second, beating Relentless Deal and jockey Gonzalo Gutierrez by a neck.

Eos Keep Dreamin earned $21,600 for the victory, upping her pocketbook to $33,127 and improving her race record to two wins and one third from four starts.

Corey Wilmes bred and owns Eos Keep Dreamin in Minnesota. The sorrel filly trained by Edward Ross Hardy is out of Too Much by Walk Thru Fire.

Trainer Jason Olmstead saddled runner-up Da lie La for owner-breeder Lunderborg LLC. The winning daughter of Apollitical Jess has earned $25,271 and is out of Paint Or More by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. Two weeks ago, she placed fourth in the Northland Futurity.

Third-place finisher Relentless Deal has yet to break his maiden with $10,959 in the bank. The Tom Maher homebred son of Hes Relentless is out of Game Dealin Lady by Dealagem. Tyler Stein conditions the sorrel gelding.

The remaining order of finish is Coconino, Dashing Muy Macha, L Conejo, Shez Got Rhythm, Bp April, Little Sister Run and Jjs Sweet And Sassy.
