SELMA, TX–FEBRUARY 5, 2025–Hock Your Kisses, a $45,000 TQHA Yearling Sale repurchased owned by Herman Medrano, posted the fastest time from 67 newly minted Quarter Horse juveniles who debuted in 12 training races at Reatma Park Wednesday.
All races were contested at 250 yards over a fast track, and the temperature in Selma, Texas, was 79 degrees.
Trainer John Stinebaugh tapped jockey Ali Rivera to ride Hock Your Kisses in Race 11. The daughter of leading sire Kiss My Hocks posted a time of 13.64 seconds to garner the day's fastest time. Out of the Jet Black Patriot mare, JB Whatajet, Hock Your Kisses is from the family of Grade 1 AQHA Derby Challenge winner A New Hero and stakes-placed Mr Step Ahead.
First-crop sire San Lorenzo sired the San Vandido, who posted the second-fastest clocking in Race 5 of 13.86 seconds. One of four winners on the card for trainer Jose Sanchez, III, the colt races for owner Omar Arriaga and is out of the Ivan James mare Roma.
Jose Espinosa, the only other trainer with multiple winners on Wednesday's card, saddled three.
