POCATELLO, ID–MAY 4, 2025–Pocatello Downs hosted a pair of non-back type stakes on Sunday's card, the $8,700 Pocatello Downs Stakes for 3-year-olds and up and the $5,000 Quarter Horse Idaho Bred Stakes for 4-year-old up state-breds.

Pocatello Downs Stakes

Dc Ladys Dashn Eagle out-nodded B The One to get a head win in Sunday's $8,700 Pocatello Downs Stakes (not black type). Jockey Jamie Lopez got the riding call aboard the 5-year-old son of world champion One Dashing Eagle.

Trainer Bector Magallanes saddled the 5-year-old gelding to his sixth career win for owner-breeder Donald Conway.  The Washington-bred earner of $62,731 is out of the Gol mare Dc Lady Juno. He earned $4,524 for today's victory.

Stakes winner B The One was a game second under jockey Cesar Moreno to earn $2,001. Abelardo Gonzalez trains the 6-year-old son of Five Bar Cartel for owner Luis Gonzalez. Randy and Stacy Hill bred B The One in Oklahoma from the Mr Jess Perry mare Kt Perry. He has won seven races and banked $73,781.

Stakes winner Fire Of The Mountain finished half-a-length back under jockey Jesus Virgen to earn $1,000 for third. Joe Haldey saddled the Jr Dynasty Mountain 5-year-old for owner-breeder Larry and Joce Mower. Out of the Vital Sign mare sheza Signature, Fire Of The Mountain has earnings of $77,482 with eight career wins.

Mz Paquita, Look James, Coronas With One S, Bnb Lighting McQueen, Jr, Bee A Freight Train, and Da Bros Cartel completed the field.

Quarter Horse Idaho Breds Stakes

Multiple stakes winner Rtm Ginsburg dominated the $5,000 Quarter Horse Idaho Breds Stakes (not black type) on Sunday with a two-length victory under jockey Jesus Canales.

Under the tutelage of trainer Mark Hanson, Rtm Ginsburg went gate-to-wire in 20.021 seconds, equaling a 94 speed index for 400 yards into a 6 mph crosswind. It was the sixth career win in 17 starts for the son of champion First Moonflash. The $3,000 winner's purse boosted the gray gelding's earnings to $39,799.

Bred by Susan Hanson, Rtm Ginsburg races for owner RTM Stables LLC. The 5-year-old Idaho bred is out of Rtm Say Your Prayers by Chickie Cherry Cola.

Second best under jockey Felipe Dominguez, Jj Miss Jessie Bug earned $1,250 for trainer Glen Jamison. He co-owns the daughter of Jess Got Easier with co-breeder Jill Jamison. An earner of $17,029, Jj Miss Jessie Bug is out of Miss Perry Bug by Dashing Jess Perry.

Multiple stakes placed Jess Yaya half a length back under jockey Nick Newbold to earn $750 for third. A family affair, trainer David Newbold saddled the son of Jess Got Easier for owner-breeder Nadine Newbold. Miss Yaya is out of Hadtobebasic by Hadtobenuts. She has earned $40,900.

Bw, Just A Ruger, Special Candy, and Lc Iona completed the field. Radar was scratched.
