RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–JUNE 15, 2025–In a blanket finish that came down to a photo at the wire, Dyna Mo Chimes emerged victorious in the $50,000 Mountain Top New Mexico Bred QH Juvenile Stakes, edging out You Just Got Mooned by a head in the 350-yard dash at Ruidoso Downs.

The 2-year-old brown filly clocked 17.885 seconds, earning a speed index of 83 over a fast track and an 11 mph crosswind. Favored at post time, she unleashed a powerful closing kick under Luis Flores-Garcia, making her winning move in the final yards to secure her first career stakes win by a head.

The victory was worth $21,000, boosting her earnings to $28,840, and improving her record to two wins and one third from four starts. She was a finalist in the New Mexican Spring Fling earlier in the season.

Dyna Mo Chimes races for Tungsten Racing Partnership and Carlos F. Paez and is trained by Eric Valenzuela. The daughter of Rime Chimes is out of Dyna Mo Rime, by Major Rime, and was bred in New Mexico by Carlos Paez.

Runner-up You Just Got Mooned, the fastest qualifier from the trials, has yet to break his maiden despite the strong effort. The gray gelding is out of Cartels Moon by First Moonflash, and is bred and owned by La Feliz Montana Ranch LLC.

Trained by Xavier Rodriguez and ridden by Luis Martinez, the son of Suspicious Interest earned $10,545 for his owners.

Third-place honors went to Hez Rio Trouble with Noe Garcia Jr. in the irons. The sorrel gelding by Jet Black Patriot was bred by Ivey Cattle Co out of Riverside Babe by First Moonflash.

Hez Rio Trouble races for Robert Driggers and Ben Ivey under the care of Wes Giles. He remains consistent with two third-place finishes from as many starts and earnings of $6,000.

Completing the field is Miracle Patriot Jet, Jess Fire Up Doc, Dads On A Roll, Jm Bandit, Eyekonic, Mi Bella Reina, and Notjessaprettyface.
