Jerome County Fair hosted the $15,000 Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity on Sunday's race card.

JEROME, ID—JUNE 15, 2025—Redmann lived up to his heavy favoritism with a powerful late surge to capture the $15,000 Roche Equine Veterinary Services Futurity at the Jerome County Fair on Saturday, stopping the clock in 18.160 seconds for the 350-yard dash on a fast track with a crosswind at 2 mph.

Bred in Idaho by Jolynn Wheeler and Cinda Thomas, Redmann is a 2-year-old sorrel gelding by Red Oak Special out of the mare She Forged It, by Forged.

Owned by Bryan Romero and trained by Ramero Honer, the promising juvenile was ridden confidently by jockey Raphael Romero. The victory earned the connections a $7,200 winner’s share and an 87 speed index in what was the gelding's third career start. Earlier this year he was a finalist in the Idaho Cup Futurity and has banked $10,597 in four starts.

Thought It Deluxe delivered a solid performance to finish second, just a half-length behind the winner. The son of multiple stakes winner Eagle Deluxe, out of the Foose mare Thought It Through, is bred and owned by Jorge Murillo and trained by Jose Pulido. Fernando Olague piloted the colt to his runner-up finish, earning $3,075 for his effort.

Rounding out the trifecta was Em Nighthawk, a bay gelding by Ivory James out of Saratoga Return, by High Rate Of Return. Bred in Oklahoma by Efrain Mendez, Em Nighthawk is owned by Glen T. and Jill G. Jamison and trained by Glen Jamison. Jockey Jesus Flores was aboard for the even bid finish, which earned the team $1,500. Em Nighthawk was a $8,000 purchase at the 2024 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale.

M E Jessie D finished fourth, followed by Emperador Moctezuma in fifth. Scratched from the race were Blackwater Ivory (trainer scratch), Jr Dynasty Chick (scratched by stewards), and Tempted to Send (trainer scratch).
