TULSA, OK–JUNE 21, 2025– Danny J. Watkins' homebred colt Showin You Some Kvn fought valiantly down the lane to secure his first career win in the $19,550 APHA 79 & Under Speed Index Stakes (not black type) at Fair Meadows in Tulsa.

Under jockey Jonathan Dominguez, the two-year-old surged late to win by a neck on the outside, covering 330 yards in 17.571 seconds into a stiff 22-mph headwind.

Trained by Dee Keener, the son of Kvn Corona’s victory added $8,798 to his bankroll, boosting his total earnings to $13,769. Showin You Some Kvn returned $8.80 to win. The Oklahoma-bred bay colt is out of Shez Showin Off, a daughter of SF Royal Quick Flash.

Finishing a determined second was stablemate Speedy Molly, also conditioned by Keener and ridden by Juan Pulido. The filly broke sharply from the rail and battled on gamely, finishing just a neck behind the winner in 17.590 seconds.

The daughter of Wagon Tales, bred and owned by Kyle and Kellie Taylor, is out of Recketta by Reckless Dash. Despite remaining winless in four starts, her runner-up share of $4,888 pushed her earnings to $7,4341.

Third-place honors went to Lady Livewire, who held on after pressing the pace between rivals. The CRM Livewire filly was ridden by Erik Esqueda and trained by Cosme Velasquez.

Owned by Luis M. Rivera, she was bred in partnership with Juan Favila. She earned $2,932 for her effort and now boasts one win from three starts with total earnings of $8,397.

Vegas Secrets finished fourth, followed by Jt Apollitical Dee in fifth, Painted Judy sixth, Chiseled N Chrome seventh, Wf Good Gracious eighth, Pfr Apollitical Party ninth, and Stikini tenth.
