FARGO, ND–AUGUST 3, 2025–Lil Rider captured her fourth straight win with a gate-to-wire performance in the $11,750 NDQHRA Dash For Cash Stakes (not black type) on Sunday at North Dakota Horse Park.
The 4-year-old filly covered 220 yards in 12.149 seconds, earning an 85 speed index and $5,288 for the win. Owned, bred, and trained by Ronald W. Addicott, Lil Rider broke sharply from the rail under Ricardo Martinez and extended to a 1 1/4-length margin at the wire.
Lil Rider is sired by Pyc Fun N Fancy. Her dam is Park Avenue Air, by Dashair.Her winning streak includes the Chippewa Downs Open Maturity and the Streakin Zoomer Classic earlier this season, bringing her career earnings to a total of $59,498.
Grit Eye finished second, holding off a late bid from the third-place finisher. The 4-year-old gelding earned $2,350 for owner Brooke Buchholz and trainer Billy Buchholz. Dakota Wood was aboard. The son of Hawkeye was bred in North Dakota by Kari Buchholz out of Marmalades Cartel, by Carters Cartel. He has a record of 3-5-2 from 18 starts and $24,220 in the bank.
Andres Jode, a 3-year-old gelding ridden by Larren Delorme, ran third for owner Steve Leonard and trainer Jeff Charbonneau. Bred by Rodney Smith, the son of Kiss Me Jody is out of Andres Okey Dokey, by Dashing Jess Perry.
Dashing Is a High checked in fourth, followed by Shesa Okeydokey Jess in fifth and Osheas Corona sixth.
