ROCK SPRINGS, WY—AUGUST 17, 2025—Ud Cholula surged to victory in Sunday’s $17,000 Isawssugarbear Fillies & Mares Stakes at Sweetwater Downs, winning the 350-yard dash for fillies and mares by a neck under jockey Cristian Reyes.

The 4-year-old daughter of champion Ec Jet One out of Bvlgari B, by Tac It Like A Man, stopped the timer in 17.173 seconds over a fast track while earning a 104 speed index.

Racing against a five-mile-per-hour crosswind, the Wyoming-bred filly proved best for owner, breeder, and trainer Uriel Lucero Dominguez. The victory was worth $8,500. The stakes-winning filly has won five of 20 career starts and earned nearly $50,000.

Multiple stakes-placed Basking finished second, beaten by a neck, after a strong late run under jockey Noe Garcia Jr. The 4-year-old daughter of Tres Seis out of Scoop of Sunshine, by First Down Dash, earned a 103 speed index and $4,250 for owner J Lazy Six Racing and trainer Dru Hall.

She was bred in Oklahoma by Double Bar S Ranch and was purchased for $48,000 at the 2022 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She has earned $61,834 in 19 career starts. Basking entered today's race off a ninth-place effort in the Grade 2 Miss Princess Handicap at Los Alamitos Race Course in her last start, May 4.

A length back in third was Rayshas Pink Cartel, a 5-year-old daughter of Favorite Cartel out of Rayshas Pink Sky, by Dominyun. Ridden by Jesus Virgen, the multiple stakes-placed filly earned $1,700 for owner Hemsley Ranch and trainer David Greene.

She was bred in Utah by Renegade Racing and Spackman Racing and recorded a 97 speed index for her game effort. Rayshas Pink Cartel has earned $35,482 in 19 career starts.

Ud Cholula returned $23.00 to win, $9.20 to place, and $5.20 to show. Basking paid $12.60 to place and $7.80 to show, while Rayshas Pink Cartel returned $7.80 to show

Cayenneoverthemoon finsihed fourth, followed by Jazzing Dynasty, Budder Off Friends, Y O She Is A Runner, Sheza Bugatti, and Teller June.
