CLAREMORE, OK—SEPTEMBER 29, 2025—Flight Risk turned in a determined effort to win the $72,900 Pot O Gold Futurity (GI) for Paints and Appaloosas on Monday afternoon at Will Rogers Downs.

The Oklahoma-bred filly broke sharply and showed good speed under champion jockey Francisco Calderon before holding gamely through the final yards to complete the 350-yard distance in 17.648 seconds.

The performance, aided by an eight-mile-per-hour tailwind over a fast track, earned her a 91 speed index and a half-length margin of victory.

Bred in Oklahoma by her owners, Brent and Amy Page, Flight Risk is a daughter of multiple stakes sire This Is An Eagle out of Jess Wired, by CRM Livewire. Matt Whitekiller trains her. The victory, worth $29,202 to her connections, boosted her bankroll to $60,166. With three wins in 10 starts, the filly established herself among the top 2-year-old Paints of the season.

Vexing Queen, a homebred daughter of world champion Painted Turnpike out of Wired for Royalty, by CRM Livewire, finished third, missing second by only a nose while pressing the winner throughout.
