SAO PAULO, BRAZIL–DECEMBER 7, 2025–The third leg of Brazil's triple crown series, the GP Consagração, took place on Saturday at the Jockey Club of Sorocaba, featuring three contenders who had each won their respective Trials on November 22. The fastest qualifier, Miss Apolitical Jess, was favored to win the 440-yard race that offered a total purse of R$135,000 (approximately US$24,816).

The race was decided quickly, even though Miss Apollitical Jess did not take the lead immediately, as Lady Granite Lake broke sharply. However, under jockey Ailton Santana, the filly soon assumed command and set the pace, steadily drawing away to reaffirm why she is one of the standout performers of the 2025 Brazilian season.

She recorded a time of 21.788 seconds. Lady Granite Lake finished second, with Piemonte Corona STM completing the order of finish in third.

Miss Apollitical Jess earned her sixth consecutive victory, securing the third stakes win of her career. In addition to the GP Consagração – III Triple Crown, she previously won the GP Super Speed (220 yards) and the GP ABQM Potro do Futuro (440 yards), showcasing remarkable versatility. With these results, her total earnings now reach R$510,500 (US$93,835).

Her sire is the American stallion Apollitical Jess, whose offspring have remained undefeated at the Jockey Club of Sorocaba in 2025: all six of his starters this season have returned as winners. The cross with Paint Your Lips, a Corona Cartel mare, continues to prove highly successful.

In a special interview with StallioneSearch, owner Guy Peixoto, whose stable captured Brazil’s III Triple Crown, remarked “When we bought Miss, we of course expected her to become a great champion, already imagining she would be the ideal future cross for our stallion Tres Seis.”

He cited elite runners from this same genetic pattern, such as KJ Desparado — the richest Quarter Horse in history with US$3.3 million — Apollitical Pence, SI-125 and two-time Champion of Champions winner; and Political Twist, one of the leading colts of the U.S. freshman crop.

“She is a very sound filly, thank God, and we run all post-race exams. As long as she stays healthy, she will remain in training,” added the CEO of Rancho Horizonte, indicating that Miss Apollitical Jess may be pointed toward the Campeão dos Campeões do Brasil, scheduled for December 20 and 21, once again at Sorocaba.

Trainer Alan Mendes earned his eighth trophy of 2025. He leads the standings with total earnings of R$1,129,175 (US$207,566).

“We were a bit worried because she lost weight in the last few days, but her exams came back fine,” he said. “She proved she’s different, and we are proud to have her in our barn.”

Born in July 2022, holding a speed index of 104 and weighing approximately 1,102 lbs, Miss Apollitical Jess was purchased for US$170,000 at the 2024 Top das Estrelas Auction, organized by breeder Rancho Fundo — an investment that is already paying off, in a filly with tremendous potential to become an outstanding broodmare in the future.
