PHOENIX, AZ—April 8,2026— Annes Dynasty posted the fastest qualifying time to lead the field in the $20,000-added AQRA Turf Paradise Open Spring Futurity trials.
Ridden by Francisco Zamora for trainer Alex Torres-Casas, the homebred filly for Jose Antonio De Santiago stopped the clock in :15.623 over 300 yards, earning a 94 speed index while finishing with a strong driving effort.
The brown filly is sired by champion sire FDD Dynasty, whose progeny have surpassed 700 winners and $41.5 million in earnings. She is out of the Apollitical Jess stakes-winning mare Republic Anne ($86,445), from a female family that includes champions Miss Racy Jess ($485,113) and One Sweet Racy ($387,423).
Second fastest qualifier Fire On The Mtn delivered a sharp effort in her trial, covering the distance in :15.688 while earning a 92 speed index. Bred by McColee Land & Livestock LLC and owned by J Lazy Six Racing, the filly is trained by David John Williams and was ridden by Kevin Carbajal.
A $45,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, she is sired by all-time leading broodmare sire Corona Cartel and out of the Walk Thru Fire stakes-placed runner Lady Perry On Fire ($26,668). The mare is a full sister to champion Jess Walking Thru ($447,266) and a half-sister to champion Sass Me Blue ($296,378), while the second dam, Jess Sass Me ($110,503), is a Dam of Distinction.
Apoll Foose secured the third fastest qualifying mark, stopping the clock in :15.726 with a 91 speed index. Bred by Martin Lopez and owned by Mario Guadalupe Gonzales Lopez, the colt is trained by Rigoberto Guillen and was ridden by Emilio Tapia.
He is sired by champion and leading sire Foose and out of the winning Apollitical Jess mare Apolitical Dawn, a half-sister to stakes winners Mr Queens Mystery ($599,381) and Queens Strawfly ($25,804). His second dam, Illusive Princess ($72,283), earned Broodmare of the Year honors.
Trainer Rigoberto Guillen enjoyed a strong showing on the night, qualifying five runners to the final.
